See full statement below: The Association of Chinese Enterprises in Guyana (ACEG), through the collective support of its members, made an additional donation on Friday to the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) in support of the ongoing response and relief efforts related to the MV Barima maritime tragedy. ACEG expresses its sincere appreciation to the following companies for contributing to this initiative: Hong Da Lian Shao Guyana Construction Inc.; PowerChina International Group Ltd.; Xinhai International (South America) Inc.; Ping An Inc.; Cnqc Guyana ; LongReach Investments & Construction Inc.; China Auto Sales; One Tree International Inc.; Guyana Green Farm Inc.; and Bosai Minerals Guyana . The donation was presented on behalf of ACEG by General Secretary Mr. Jason Wang and received on behalf of the Civil Defence Commission by Director General, Colonel Nazrul Hussain. Chinese Embassy in Guyana Counsellor Li was also present for the handing-over ceremony. This additional contribution reflects the continued commitment of ACEG and its members to standing with the people of Guyana and supporting national response efforts during times of tragedy. ACEG once again extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives and expresses sincere appreciation to the emergency responders, recovery teams, government agencies and all others involved in the ongoing operations.
