Peterson delivered a composed performance to defeat Venezuela’s Yulienny Pedraza 2-0 and claim Guyana’s first podium finish of the Centennial Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The victory completed a remarkable bounce-back for the martial artist, who proudly carried the Golden Arrowhead as a joint flagbearer alongside archer Devin Permaul.
