President Irfaan Ali has been explaining the vision behind the Government's new Model Villages initiative, saying it is aimed at raising the standard of communities across Guyana and improving the quality of life for residents. The programme, which begins with 23 villages, is intended to create a benchmark for cleaner, safer and more vibrant communities through better public spaces, recreational facilities and stronger partnerships between residents, local authorities and Government agencies.
