Paul Ian Seepersaud, one of the victims of the MV Barima tragedy, was laid to rest on Tuesday as family, friends and well-wishers gathered at the Wesleyan Church in New Amsterdam to pay their final respects. During the funeral service, Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha conveyed condolences on behalf of President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the Government and people of Guyana, assuring the family they were not alone in their grief. He said every life lost in the tragedy mattered and described the victims as members of the nation's family. Also attending were Natural Resources Minister Vickram Bharrat, MP Zamal Hussain and Regional Chairman Junior Basant.
