Police are investigating the discovery of a Glock 19 pistol during an operation at Issano Landing, Middle Mazaruni River, on Sunday, July 26. According to police, ranks acting on information received searched a jet boat and found the firearm, fitted with a magazine, beneath a cardboard box next to the captain’s seat. No ammunition was found. The 33-year-old captain of the vessel, who is not a licensed firearm holder, was arrested and taken to the Issano Police Station where the firearm was lodged.
