Police officers are investigating the discovery of live ammunition and a spent shell following an operational search conducted on Mandela Avenue, Georgetown on Thursday morning. At approximately 01:00 hrs, ranks intercepted and searched a Toyota Hilux driven by a 31-year-old project manager from La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara. A search of the vehicle's glove compartment led to the discovery of one .223 round of live ammunition and one .223 spent shell. The driver was immediately taken into custody and escorted to the East La Penitence Police Station, where the items were lodged as evidence.
