Shamera Smith was returning to Region One from Georgetown with her parents, Rosel and Grenville Smith, her brother Alex, and her nephew, Aarave Daniels. They were all attending a family funeral in Region Four. They were all travelling aboard the MV Barima when tragedy struck. Shamera and Aarave didn’t survive the tragedy and were laid to rest on Thursday.
