Shamera Smith was returning to Region One from Georgetown with her parents, Rosel and Grenville Smith, her brother Alex, and her nephew, Aarave Daniels. They were all attending a family funeral in Region Four. They were all travelling aboard the MV Barima when tragedy struck. Shamera and Aarave didn’t survive the tragedy and were laid to rest on Thursday. Back home in the community of White Water, Shamera’s parents shared happy memories of their little girl with the News Room…
