HGP NIGHTLY NEWS- A taxi driver attached to Reliable Taxi service has lost his life in a horrific early morning accident along the Ogle-to-Eccles Highway, in the vicinity of the roundabout. He has been identified as Emmanuel Paul of 6th Street, Alberttown. Reports indicate that the car he was driving was allegedly struck by a speeding truck, leaving him trapped inside the mangled vehicle. Firefighters were forced to use specialized equipment to cut open the wreckage before recovering Paul’s body. The driver of the truck has since been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Sparendaam Police Station as investigations continue into the fatal crash.
