Scenes from Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara on Monday evening, as President Dr Irfaan Ali and officials engaged residents in consultations on the construction of a modern market facility to serve as the community’s commercial hub. The new two‑storey, 67,000‑square‑foot market will be built on the current tarmac with an expected capacity for more than 140 vendor stalls and commercial spaces.
