Two young brothers, Omarius and Orwin Europe, were laid to rest in their hometown Port Kaituma, Region One, on Saturday. Omarius, 8, and his brother Owrin, 6, were travelling home aboard the MV Barima last Saturday with their father, Orin Europe. The three individuals passed away after the ferry sank. Relatives were filled with anguish as they paid their last respects to the boys on Saturday. It has been one week since the vessel sank and so far, the bodies of more than 70 persons who died have been recovered. Earlier Saturday, President Dr Irfaan Ali announced that an international and independent Commission of Inquiry will be established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the capsizing of the MV Barima, with the five-member panel to be announced on Sunday.
