Collaboration on care for children, women and the elderly was discussed today between Human Services and Social Security Minister Dr Vindhya Persaud and the leadership from Artemis Hospital, including Founder and Chief Executive Officer Prakash Tyqgi and Dr Aditya Promod. Discussions covered training, expertise and psychological and medical support, along with education and awareness for parents of children with disabilities, including autism and cancer. The ministry said avenues would be explored to make such services accessible nationwide, with Guyana's telemedicine programme and Health Ministry channels also being considered as delivery platforms.
