Residents of Melanie Damishana came out in protest, reiterating their call for the resignation of Public Works Minister Bishop Juan Edghill and Public Utilities and Aviation Minister Deodat Indar following the MV Barima tragedy that claimed 73 lives, with 30 still missing. They are calling for full accountability for the tragedy but hold the view that three crew members charged with murder in relation to the maritime disaster were unjustly charged and should be release. President Dr. Irfaan Ali is expected to meet with residents of Melanie Damishana today at a public consultation to advance his Model Village Initiative.
