Speaking to reporters as he exited Parliament, flanked by four supporters of his party, Edghill declared, “My life is in God’s hands and that’s not today,” in response to questions about whether he would resign. “ I will speak on this matter at the appropriate time, have a good day”. His comments come amid growing public protests and demands for accountability following the maritime disaster that claimed dozens of lives.
