Guyana have secured a brilliant Silver medal in the Women's Doubles squash at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Santo Domingo. Ashley Khalil and Mary Fung-A-Fatt produced an impressive campaign at the Ágora Mall court, stunning Guatemala's top-seeded duo 2-0 (11-8, 11-7) in the semi-finals before falling 0-2 to Colombia's experienced Tovar sisters, Laura and Paula, in the gold-medal match. The result adds to an earlier podium finish for Team Guyana in the Mixed Doubles, where Kirsten Gomes and Jason-Ray Khalil claimed Bronze following a semi-final setback against Mexico's Alfredo Ávila and Luz López. With two medals already wrapped up in the doubles events, Guyanese attention now turns to the upcoming Team competition. (PHOTOS: Guyana Squash Association)
